Following their well-established tradition Apple has come out with their new wave iPad, brining enough updates to stay competitive but still leaving other stuff, like the iPad resolution, unchanged so as to not feel their first wave buyers feel like they have been tricked in to getting the beta version of a really cool gadget. That means that off course we still fall short from the promised 2048×1536 resolution but on the upside we are still talking about a 9.7” capacitive touch screen so a too high resolution might as well bring on its very own issues – like if you think handling the icons now picture just think of how small they seemed when you switched from the 15” desktop monitor with a 1024 x 768 resolution to the 22” 1920 x 1200 modern monitor. On the other hand, 9.7” is about as big as a mobile screen can go before it becomes impossible to handle so although the iPad resolution might very well go a little higher it is probably not a good idea to go very much higher.
However where the iPad resolution not only could but really should go higher is in the front and back camera. While a VGA camera, like the one the iPad has on the front, is passible for a 3G conversation over the internet there are already webcams with superior resolution. And since most Apple products take pride in their ability to stand alone so must the front camera be judged. There is no point in its resolution being as low as it is. While it does have the capability to render images the quality is so poor as to make it worthy of a 90s device. Besides taking into consideration the speeds at which most internet connections work we would expect to see a front camera iPad resolution of at least 1.3.
And still, what could be sadder when talking about the iPad resolution that not even the back camera comes close to the 1.3 megapixels we would have wished for the front camera. Ironically the 0.7MP back camera takes photos of a smaller resolution than the screen itself. So while we have an iPad resolution of 1024 x 768 the camera on the iPad only provides 960×720 pixel images, making the iPad the first device that has a better resolution on the display then on the images it can provide. Still even more ironic is the fact that with such an insignificant camera the creators have decided to add the capability of shooting 720p videos at 30fps. But with such a small resolution to start off with the results are ridiculous at best, even more so when compared with the huge sizes the 720p format require.
So even though the iPad resolution of 1024×768 is perhaps as high as a device of this size should go, the resolution of the front and back cameras make them seem more like dust in the eye of the buyer rather than enhancers of the device. And while the iPad will never be used as camera if it were to be gifted with a camera shouldn’t it have been at least a 3.2MP shutter like the iPhone and thus be able to at least match the iPad resolution itself?

Keeping things small and mobile has been a dream of the computer market and technology ever since the first computers hit the shelves. The laptop was the first step towards that goal and given it’s computing power which we’ve seen in recent years matching that of the desktop it is likely that it will be around for another decade or so at least.
The iPad however has opened new doors and taken a brave step towards the future. Soon it will probably be able to match the laptop in speed and then the dream of true mobility will be realized. Until then there are some very important breakthroughs that need to be made in technology and not IT but sound. Wright now we have HP picture, a dark crystal that comes to life with amazing picture quality, a graphic processor that is already streaming games, but a sound system that has gone from being stereo to mono in the iPad 2. And that is because in this respect the miniaturization technology has all but stood still. They are going bigger and bigger when it comes to sound quality and little effort seems to be put in the miniaturization.
So until that decade has passed and we will enjoy HD sound quality we still need to use exterior sound systems. The market seems to be opening in to two directions, as this site on iPad Speakers shows. They are looking at a trend to provide the best sound possible and here again we see slightly sluggish docking stations and some very small and yet decent speakers designed to be as mobile as the iPad itself. There is also a Top 5 search for the best iPad speaker system but just as the authors conclude on the site you need to make up your own mind and try to see what is best for you.
Before consulting any site you need to decide if you are looking for mobility or the best sound quality. Otherwise you might end up making compromises that will eventually frustrate you. If you often have found yourself on the road yearning for a better sound quality then you probably will need something small and mobile. However if you, like most modern people, enjoy sitting at home, reading the news of the iPad and occasionally watch a move then this site on the iPad speakers with dock is a good place to start your search.

There cannot be any doubt in anyone’s mind that the future of personal computing power has been opened with the emergence of the first iPad. It is a fact undisputed by anyone as we see more and more IT companies coming out with their own versions of this kind of super mobile, versatile tablet PCs. With the new iPad 2 hitting the shelves with an oleo phobic screen, Apple has admitted that the Achilles’ heel of any tablet PC or, indeed any touch screen device, is the fact that no matter what layer or treatment is on the screen, finger prints will always get stuck on it and smudges appear. And though we have seen a number of improvements made to all sorts of touch screens ultimately the only way to see a perfect picture especially in direct sun light is to wipe carefully the screen and not touch it with your fingers.
Enter the iPad stylus; from simply using a simple back side of a pen to the high tech gadgets that have hit the market in recent years. The great thing about the stylus is what is great about any gadget: if you root around a bit on the internet you will find that there are very cool styluses with very nice features. There are some that look very luxurious and others that are very technical and precise. At the very list you should check out this Top 10 to find the best iPad stylus out there now.
However while they are discarding the price and are simply focusing on the best features you should know that for movie streaming a simple stylus is ok. For fancier work, like drawing or precise virtual button pushing you will need a dagi stylus and there is an article dedicated to helping you decide what the best dagi stylus is for you.
So there you have it: from using your finger to using a high tech, double tipped dagi stylus the market is open and the options are endless. There is always the advantage of not only not leaving any marks on the screen but also stating something about yourself, whether that you want to transmit an image of class with an iPad pen or that of a consummate professional with the best dagi stylus.

The funny thing about electricity is that too much of it can be more damaging than not at all. It is such a small thing but just a few volts more and all the appliances in your house would burn out. Of course the more perceptive will know that there are circuit breakers put in place for exactly that purpose: to stop any possible over charge from destroying everything in the home and even create additional damages.
However not all over charges will be stopped by the circuit breaker. A short circuit like when a light bulb burns out, or just enough of a wave in the flow of electricity will not be sensed by anything but the most sensitive devices. After all, the protection devices put in place on the power grid have been designed when a laptop was heavier and bulkier than a brick and was owned by the military only.
There are certain protective measures you can take to prevent your best devices from attack, so a sensitive piece of equipment like the iPad should get the best attention. And given that there are already an entire range of devices on the market designed to protect the iPad from damage when charging. So when choosing from the wide range available on sites debating the best iPad charger, remember that a surge protection is perhaps the only gimmick worth going after.
And if the power in our homes does have a certain level of protection and a relatively continuous stream of power the car charger or the plugs using power from a generator are the most exposed situation your iPad will ever face. Luckily there is a site debating this and from the wide range of their disposure they have chosen the best iPad car charger the one with surge protection for this exact reason.

The easiest and, at the same time, simplest way to charge a iPad is while still using it with the aid of an iPad dock. Not only does this save you the time you would waste while just waiting for it to charge but in fact making a point out of charging the iPad while you dock it will ensure that you always have it charged. If you, like me, put of charging to a period when you don’t need to use the iPad you are likely to forget ever to charge it until you need it next. However charging it as you are using it reminds you of the importance of having the iPad always ready.
Now the great thing about the available docking station really comes in to play. As you can see on this site solely dedicated to finding the best ipad dock there are many variations when it comes to it. Personally I prefer charging my iPad as I watch a light comedy in the evening but that is because I use the iPad mostly as a multimedia entertainment facility. That is why my docking station has a great built in speaker system: not that I don’t like the sound of the iPad but I prefer to get as much as I can out of anything I own.
However there are even many more appliances to be built around the iPad. For example it seems to be used as a working environment my so many that there is a page exploring the best iPad keyboard dock. With it the iPad becomes as easy to use as a normal desktop particularly because of the built in touch pad some of these docks have. Of course it would be useless for me as I barely need to use the virtual keyboard on my iPad but what I am more than keen on getting is a tiny dock to have by the bed and use the iPad as a night light, continuous picture frame and time display in the evenings.

There is no question in anyone’s mind, looking at the way the products on the market are evolving, that in a few short years, probably less than a decade, we will see the iPad replacing all other forms of computing. Of course there is no replacing the mighty desktop when it comes to shear computing power but for normal use the tablet PC and in particular for those who really expect the best quality, the iPad is fast becoming the best IT solution.
There are of course short comes in the sense that the iPad’s great mobility means it is not as comfortable at times as a desktop or laptop which you can lay on the table and just enjoy it like that. But there is a solution ready for that situation in the varied offer of iPad stands on the market. From the simplest that doesn’t even charge the iPad but just hold it in an upright position to those that add to it some nice features like a high fidelity sound system or an exterior keyboard.
Incidentally you may want to check out this site on iPad stands stand where they even bring in an arm like structure that turns the iPad into a veritable desktop for the most comfortable use possible. Of course using an exterior wireless keyboard is indicated and at least from the pictures the result is not only extremely useful and comfortable but it also looks awesome.
Other forms of the stand though are as mobile as the iPad itself, built of light wait composite materials and depending on the tripod structure to give it not only stability but also mobility. The nice thing is that they also come with carrier bags so that they are truly mobile. You can take a look at them and really find out more about how they might fit you needs on this site exploring the best iPad stand and the available models.

iPad Screen Resolution:
While it is true that the new iPad screen resolution falls short, even in its most expensive WI-FI + 3G form, of the 2048×1536 pixels promised resolution it does make up for the fact in the little differences Apple has gotten us used to with every new solution they bring on the market. The iPad 2 does keep the 1024×768 pixels resolution of the original but new technologies like the oleo-phobic coating and the IPS capacitive screen are bringing in new levels of picture quality that would make even the most demanding customers satisfied with the level of improvement the next generation iPad Screen Resolution is bringing in.
iPad Screen Size:
The iPad screen size measures 9.7 inches diagonally making it excellent for multimedia viewing. It is quite slim as it is only 0.5 inch thin with width of 7.47 inches and 9.56 inches height.
Also we must keep in mind that the 9.7” screen can only go so far with the level of resolution it displays before the entire thing becomes ridiculous. Because there is a good reason why the resolution has been going higher and higher only as the diagonal of the modern monitors have been going up. And that is because not even a 14” laptop monitor cannot and should not display a higher resolution then 1366×768. The fact of the matter is that the higher the resolution goes the smaller fixed size items like the desktop icons, or the start button menu will seem to be. Up to the point where the resolution could theoretically be so high that you won’t be able to tell the difference between the My Computer icon and the Recycle Bin. So promise what they will Apple simply cannot deliver the 2048×1536 pixel resolution unless they design a very high level of detail and huge, compared with today’s standards, size icons, text size, and document viewers. Even so, cramming that many pixels in the tiny 9.7” diagonal won’t result in a noticeable difference compared with the iPad screen resolution we see on the shelves today.
But while the iPad screen resolution might not be up for much of a discussion on improvements can certainly be brought in to bring an ever higher image quality. This release it is the time to add the oleo-phobic layer. Oleo means oil in Latin so there should be no mystery on why there are less finger prints on the touch screen then there used to be on the older version of the iPad. While the claim that it can be used in bright sunlight just as easy as any eBook reader is somewhat farfetched it is none the less true that the new layer makes a difference indoors. Of course touch screens will always have the problem of fingerprints and until they come up with a solution for modern man to stop leaving them it is hardly conceivable that they will be able to come up with a surface that will be entirely fingerprint proof. Still the oleo-phobic layer is a nice improvement and the iPad screen resolution benefits a lot from it, perhaps more than it would have from a pixel upgrade.
With the weight of the iPad going lower and lower and the performances both on the inside and on the outside of the device growing with each new release the future sure does sound promising. Of course in time even the iPad screen resolution will go higher and it will be with the aid of technology that we are not even dreaming of yet. But that’s what make the future so worth knowing and why Apple will always retain their niche in the market.
